Synkers

Synkers is an on-demand private-tutoring app for the Middle East, founded in September 2017 in Beirut, Lebanon. It targets school students, university students, and parents seeking qualified tutors, and has worked to expand into Gulf markets including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

In the app, a user searches for the course they need help with (by name or code), filters tutors by date, time, location, and rating, and books a session in a few taps. Synkers has reported reaching more than 60,000 students and over 1,000 vetted tutors, with roughly 90,000 sessions delivered, and by the end of 2019 had partnered with Lebanon’s Ministry of Education.
